Description:

In this course, learners will learn about the consequences of breaking laws.

Once learners have completed this course, they should have an understanding of the following:

• laws enforced by the Police, other central government agencies, and local government
• the personal consequences of breaking different laws
• the legal, social, financial, and property-related consequences of breaking different laws.

This is an introductory level course into New Zealand law. Learners do not need to have specific knowledge of the contents of specific laws. However, they should be able to consider the effects or general consequences that these laws could have.
