Description:

The purpose of this course is to enable learners to prepare for, and be interviewed in an informal, one-to-one, face-to-face interview.


Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to do the following (in relation to specific interview situations).


Preparation:

  • state the purpose and possible topics of the interview
  • describe the roles of each participant
  • identify barriers to communication.

During the interview:

  • dress and behave appropriately to the situation
  • respond to interview questions clearly and accurately
  • state and explain their own viewpoint
  • adjust tone, eye contact, and posture to fit the situation and relationship between participants.
